Sipapu - A self-sustaining eco-sapient habitat designed for Advanced Earth Science scholarship and practice
SIPAPU was born on February 11, 2011, with the breaking of the ground as well as ceremony (photo left: ceremonial tree planting) and prayer worldwide. It is now a beautiful Retreat Center, with a building which houses eight people with a kitchen and bathroom facilities in the heart of the beautiful Madre de Dios rainforest in Peru. THOTH donors visited in August 2011, did ceremony, and felt the magic of the land as well as the SIPAPU vision.
If your heart beats to the rhythm of SIPAPU, your volunteer and financial support will accomplish the following:
- a caretaker's salary to protect and nurture the land and buildings
- construction of an adytum (ceremonial structure)
- assessment for permaculture development
- establish eco-spiritual tourism trip offerings
SIPAPU: Emergence in the Land of the Mother of God - Webinar
Ron Fouts moderated this inspiring, impassioned and informative narrative and evocative slide presentation developed by Shea Armstrong and Jared Zimmerman following their 10 weeks of on-site living at Sipapu in Peru's Tambopata River rainforest. Joining them was don Oscar Miro-Quesada, who shared his evolving dream of Sipapu as a species-wide custodial habitat upon Mother Earth.

Sipapu to emerge as a sacred community on the Tambopata River.
In the Hopi and Pueblo cosmology, Sipapu is a place of emergence, and sometimes, return; the place where souls and world cycles are delivered to life, as well as welcomed back into transformation. Sipapu is where Mother Earth gives birth to the next evolutionary expression for humankind.

Today, Sipapu is a majestic hundred acres of verdant Amazonian rainforest in the Community of La Torre on the Rio Tambopata area of Peru owned by THOTH.
Tomorrow, Sipapu will be a 28-bed educational residential center focusing on the conservation and sustainability of the rainforest and her people and indigenous wisdom. Scheduled to open August 1, 2013.
SIPAPU is a self-sustaining eco-sapient habitat designed for Advanced Earth Science scholarship and practice.

Service Trip Report June 2010 SIPAPU
"My intention in joining the first service trip to THOTH’s land at La Torre was simply to visit the rainforest for my first time & become acquainted with the place that is the envisioned home of Sipapu. I was unexpectedly touched by the rainforest. It opened my eyes, opened my heart & brought me into the present moment. I was touched by the beauty & generosity of the people we came into contact with in Puerto Maldonado, La Torre & Camino Verde. It was a beautiful experience from beginning to end. I would gladly go again."
