From Oscar Miro-Quesada & Kendra Davis:
In Prayerful Homage to Dave Hansen

Oscar in capeFollowing the recent earthly transition of our beloved brother David Hansen, after sitting with the beautiful words expressed by our sister Kendra Davis that render such just homage to Dave's exquisite example as a sacred passer-by on this good earth, I am likewise called to honor the deep beauty mirrored through his earthwalk. All of us who had the privilege of calling Dave a brother, friend and compassionate ally, shall always remember his compassionate grace, his effortless holding of sacred space, his selfless service on behalf of a purpose far beyond his personal needs, and most importantly, his extraordinary example of trust in the Great Originating Mystery. This said, we may all be certain that the Eternity behind All That Is has welcomed back his immortal soul in a manner deserving of a Shining One. Dave, your loving essence of Self remains forever imprinted upon our souls. We shall thus continue to honor the lessons learned from our sacred relationship in common service to the Great Sacred Hoop of Life. You have blessed this good Earth by your birth and will continue to do so in your rebirth. Until next time my beloved brother -- I shall miss you!

With infinite love, Don Oscar

The South American Condor is the symbol for death, rebirth and new vision.

condor_180Our dear brother, David Hansen, made his transition in his sleep Tuesday, the 24th of January, 2012. About a year ago he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and pursued both with western medicine and alternative treatments. Through all of this David's amazing Spirit prevailed with courage, grace and peace. Please send your prayers to his family and friends.

David was an accomplished musician and healer. He loved Pachamama and had a special connection with Apu Shasta. He was at a number of the gatherings that we have had at Apu Shasta and some of you may know him from there. He was a part of the San Diego Ayllu and took the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition training with Judy Hoaglund. He was an avid donor and supporter of THOTH. David always put others before himself and sincerely wanted to be there for you for anything that you might need him for. He would even be your cheer leader and support you in love, enthusiasm and fun. He had a deep connection to All things and was always wanting to explore that connection through learning, sharing and being. His light in this world was shared with many and will be deeply missed by those of us who had the honor to call him friend. Thank you all for your prayers and love.

In loving service,
Kendra
